Norfolk County Commissioners fund grant to Domestic Violence Ended of Quincy

DEDHAM – The Norfolk County Commissioners presented a grant to the DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended) Program based in Quincy, MA, the only domestic violence shelter in Norfolk County.  Commissioners Francis O’Brien of Dedham (Chairman), John Gillis of Quincy, and Peter Collins of Milton are committed to assisting programs such as DOVE.  “The Commissioners are proud to be associated with programs like DOVE; they offer important services to Norfolk County residents,” said Chairman O’Brien.

 

Sue Chandler, Executive Director of DOVE, lauded the Commissioners’ efforts.  “On behalf of the women and children who receive our services, DOVE greatly appreciates the County Commissioners’ generous donation,” said Chandler.  The grant from Norfolk County will assist in funding several programs, including the 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, Community Education, and Outreach Initiatives.
