Veterans' Services

The Norfolk County Veterans’ services department is a program within the County Commissioners’ office. Principal responsibilities include:

  • reporting to the Commissioners on the status of veterans’ services in the twenty-eight cities and towns of the County
  • making recommendations for improvement in the administration and delivery of veterans’ services
  • encouraging the formation of veterans’ services districts where appropriate, and
  • assisting betterment of veterans services, including improved access for qualified veterans, dependents and survivors to both State and Federal services.

Veterans’ Services Advocate

dalekurtz2Dale L. Kurtz, Norfolk County’s Veterans’ Services Advocate, is a U. S. Military Academy graduate.  He served in the Army from 1968 to 1978 and left the service as a Captain.

He has an MBA from RPI in Troy, NY and had a successful career as an executive in the insurance industry.

Dale is married and resides in Franklin.
