RANDOLPH, MA – Building on the success of their recent bone density screening event, the Avon, Holbrook and Randolph Public Health Nursing Coalition proudly invites seniors from each of the three communities to the Coalition’s upcoming Senior Health Fair, taking place on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Randolph’s Stetson Hall, located at 6 South Main Street in Randolph.
The fair, which will offer seniors blood pressure testing, flu shots (with an insurance card), bone density screening, information about medication reconciliation and outreach from public safety officials and community groups, will also include a light lunch and refreshments for local attendees.
The Avon, Holbrook and Randolph Public Health Nursing Coalition is made possible by a $46,000 state Community Compact Grant supported by the Norfolk County Commissioners to bring together the three communities to create more regional public health nursing services for local residents. As part of the initiative, local officials have been placing a particular emphasis on helping to prioritize senior wellness initiatives, combating the opiate epidemic and responding to the influx of tuberculosis cases, among other goals.
Senior residents will be welcomed to the event on a first come, first served basis, but appointments are available for Bone Density Screening. Please contact the Avon Board of Health at (508) 588-0414 ext. 1016 to schedule. Walk-ins will be welcomed throughout the event.
