Public and Employee Update #2 – Limited Access to Norfolk County Buildings – Effectively Immediately


In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, and as part of Norfolk County’s efforts to help curtail its spread, the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds and Norfolk County Administration Office will have limited access to the public, effective immediately and until further notice.

The Norfolk County Registry of Deeds, located at 649 High Street, Dedham, is presently open for RECORDINGS ONLY.

For entities that are presently set up to electronically file, Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell encourages you to use that medium as opposed to in-person filing. Eligible entities that wish to sign up to eFile can do so at Up-to-date information and contact information for Registry staff can also be accessed at

The County Administration Building, located at 614 High Street, Dedham, will be closed to the general public. The Norfolk County Commissioners take seriously their role in encouraging social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. They have established Conference Call capabilities for weekly Commissioners’ Meetings (Wednesdays at 1:00p.m.) and strongly encourage Department Heads, applicable employees and members of the public to attend/participate in Commissioners’ Meetings via Conference Call. The Norfolk County Agricultural High School, located at 400 Washington Street, Walpole, is closed until April 6, 2020.

The Wollaston Recreational Facility/Presidents Golf Course, located at 357 West Squantum Street, Quincy, remains closed until further notice.

Both County and Registry of Deeds staff will continue to perform their duties and will be present to assist Norfolk County residents and the public via telephone, the internet and email during normal business hours.
