





Welcome to the web site of the County of Norfolk, Massachusetts, the County of Presidents!
Norfolk County consists of twenty-eight eastern Massachusetts communities, mostly located to the South and West of Boston. The County was incorporated as a regional governmental entity in 1793, and has its county seat at the town of Dedham.
County government is responsible for regional services including land records, vocational education, corrections, Trial Court facilities maintenance, engineering, recreation, regional municipal services,volunteer programs, and additional statutory responsibilities.
Norfolk County is known as the County of Presidents because it is the birthplace of four Presidents of the United States: John Adams (Braintree/modern day Quincy), John Quincy Adams (Quincy), John F. Kennedy (Brookline), and George Herbert Walker Bush (Milton).
The purpose of this site is to provide information and links to Norfolk County's government and services, to other agencies serving the county, and to Norfolk County's communities.
